Background: Dana is an actor. Rather, he was an actor. He wants to be an actor, but, in fact, he's terrible at it. Because of the fact that the only thing acting-wise he's ever done has been herpecol commercials and bit parts on Xena warrior princess (by bit I mean, stunt double type bit) he decides to become a teacher. After all, Dead Poets Society, Mr Hollands Opus - what do they have in common? The inspirational teacher movie! Whats the problem with that? He sucks at that too. However, because of cuts in the school budget, he finds himself with more students than ever before -and the risk of losing his own job. He goes on a mission to save drama- save theater - save ART from the corrupt fascists that run the school! He and his wife are trying to get pregnant, despite the fact that they have a hard time supporting themselves (Brie often threatens to go back to pushing drugs to help them support themselves.) He is a recovering alcoholic, and he rewrites movies (like Erin Brocovich) into plays for his students to perform.

Personality: Dana is overdramatic at best. While he's not a GOOD actor, that doestn mean acting isnt in his blood - and he's always doing it..Always. He never. Stops. He takes things more personally than necessary and has severe daddy issues; his creation of Hamlet 2 is less for the students and saving the drama program and more self beneficial, trying to prove himself to...well who knows who. He just needs to prove himself.
